Most southern Ohio area residents will be in at least one car accident during their driving career. Fortunately, most of these accidents are just minor fender benders with non-serious injuries or none at all. But hundreds of Ohio families are affected by more serious crashes each year, disabling or even killing their loved ones. Recently a tragic car crash took the life of a Hamilton bus driver.

Butler County crash

A Hamilton school bus driver from Monroe was recently killed in a tragic accident. The woman was driving northeast on State Route 4 in Butler County when another driver heading southwest in a Corolla crossed the center line and hit the victim’s minivan head on. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Corolla was taken to UC Hospital Medical Center where she died from her injuries.

Personal injury attorney

If a family believes their loved one was seriously hurt or killed in an accident due to no fault of their own, they may want to speak with an attorney who specializes in personal injury. An attorney can visit the accident scene and interview witnesses and review the police report to help determine what happened. Compensation may be available for medical expenses, funeral expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages and other damages.

Although nothing can bring back a loved one who has died, a family has the legal right to hold the negligent party and their family responsible for their negligence. The compensation received can help a family move on and rebuild their life.
